The Arturia Buchla Easel V is the first re-creation of Don Buchla's famous instrument from the early 1970s, which helped define experimental West Coast modular synthesis. Sound design and avant-garde music now have a lot more options thanks to our improvements. You've always wanted to use sound as a medium for painting. The Buchla Easel V allows you to do just that.

You can tell the Buchla Easel V is a distinct beast just by looking at it. Indeed, it changes the way you think about sound straight away, and the soundscapes you can create with it are as distinctive as the front panel array. We carefully reproduced the rare 1973 Buchla Music Easel down to the component level to bring that experience to you. We've gone above and beyond with this instrument, featuring polyphony, creative new modulation/control sources, step sequencer, effects, and more, as you've come to expect from our other V-series instruments.
